Hello! My name is Dr. Denise, and have a passion for education and student success. I have been tutoring since the 7th grade and have spent many years helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and reach their academic goals.
I graduated as Valedictorian from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry before earning my Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. I then completed my residency training and now practice medicine while continuing my love of teaching and mentoring.
I tutor students at a variety of levels, from elementary school through college and graduate education. My areas of expertise include elementary education, math, biology, anatomy, physiology, health sciences, study skills, and test preparation. I also specialize in helping pre-med and medical students navigate coursework, admissions, personal statements, interview preparation, and effective study strategies.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's unique learning needs. I believe that every student can learn and succeed when concepts are broken down into understandable steps and taught in a way that matches their learning style.
