I have worked in the field of education for over twenty years, predominantly as a lead guide in Montessori Middle School classrooms, guiding 7th and 8th grade students through lessons in language arts, mathematics, history, and science. I have also worked as a lead guide in Montessori Lower and Upper Elementary classrooms (1st through 6th grades), have tutored high school level students, and homeschooled my own child for 8th grade. I have a deep appreciation of both Montessori and Classical approaches to learning, and try to incorporate elements of both in my own tutoring style. I enjoy helping students gain confidence in their own abilities, and find success in their academic journey. I am happy to tutor subjects from the elementary level through certain high school levels, including language arts (literature, reading comprehension, grammar), mathematics (elementary level through high school Algebra and Geometry), history, and science.
