I graduated from Lamar University in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in history with a minor in French, and again in 2016 with a Master of Arts degree in history. I was a graduate assistant during my M.A. studies for two years, including, in my final semester, as a teacher's assistant to a member of staff. During this period I co-taught a class with a senior member of staff. I graded essays, prepared lectures, and gave them.

What I love most about teaching is the spreading of knowledge that for most people has been lost. Much of history isn't known except to people who study it intensively. As a historian, I feel that it is my job to share these fascinating details of our collective human heritage.

I am experienced in writing both MLA and Chicago Style, from short 1-2 page summaries up to 20+ page formal academic papers.

I have two degrees and extensive experience in American history, specifically African American history. My interest in European studies focuses on the Cold War and international relations. I also have written and read extensively about the history of African decolonization and the history of Africa.
