Hi! I’m a certified elementary teacher who loves helping students grow in both confidence and ability. I believe every child can succeed with the right support, encouragement, and a little bit of fun along the way. I enjoy building strong connections with my students and creating a positive space where they feel comfortable asking questions and trying new things.

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with family and finding creative ways to make learning engaging for kids. My approach as a tutor is student-centered, engaging, and supportive. I focus on building confidence while strengthening foundational skills, especially in math and reading at the elementary level. I use a variety of teaching techniques such as modeling, guided practice, hands-on activities, and real-world connections to make learning meaningful and easy to understand. I also adjust my instruction based on each student’s learning style and pace.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review or warm-up to activate prior knowledge. I then introduce the skill in a clear, step-by-step way, followed by guided practice where we work through problems together. Students then have time to try independently while I provide support as needed. I like to end with a quick check for understanding or a fun activity to reinforce the skill.

What sets me apart is my experience as a certified teacher and my ability to create a positive, encouraging learning environment. I understand how to meet students where they are and help them grow both academically and confidently. I am patient, flexible, and truly enjoy helping students succeed.

My lessons are designed for elementary students, particularly those needing support in math skills and reading. I work with a range of learners, including those who may need extra practice, confidence building, or enrichment.

I have taught 3rd grade math for three years and 2nd grade math for one year in a public school setting in Texas.
