Orly , 9 lessons with TyTy is such a great tutor/teacher. His teaching style is easy to follow and flows very well in terms of explaining things. He gives a good context to what you want to learn or review, and he always covers the topic in great detail. He also is very good at making sure that I understand everything he is talking about. After explaining something, he always asks, "Is this making sense?" Its a great way to give him feedback so he can either explain the topic better or move on with his teaching....
I have been teaching AP World History for 18 years, AP European History for 15 years and Regular, US Government for 3 years. My AP Exam pass rate for AP World History far exceeds the national pass rate of 50% for the past 16 years. My AP European History AP Exam pass rate is even higher than my AP World History scores which can most likely be explained because over 50% of the students already had me for AP World History their sophomore year.

Ty was extremely helpful in explaining to me the details of how to write DBQs, LEQs, SAQs, and how to tackle MCQs. He listened to all my questions and made sure I understood everything. He also has a great sense of humor.

Extremely knowledgeable and effective teacher
My HS freshman daughter is in her final few weeks of her World History AP class. Needless to say this class was far more difficult than her other classes combined and she struggled desperately with it in the first few months. We were lucky to find Ty as he was able to break down and explain each topic in a way that made the concepts easier to understand. This is still a very difficult course for a high school student, much less one who is a freshman. But with Ty’s help, my daughter was able to pull her grade up to than a full mark higher than where she started the year. Ty has a straightforward approach that my daughter appreciated. She got valuable feedback on practice essays she took out of study guides. Ty also keeps handy many useful visuals to help conceptualize timelines, historical significance and effective essay structuring. He knows his stuff and more important, he knows how to explain it in a way that students can understand. Thank you Ty for your tutoring this year. We are grateful for your help and expertise.

First class worked well
This review is based on the first class only. Our daughter needs help with AP World History. Ty created a connection with her and got her to believe more in herself. He explained various aspects of AP World class and exam and worked with her on multiple-choice questions. We are looking forward to the next class.
