I am just as passionate about learning as I am with teaching, which I have been doing full time for 8 years. I excel at making difficult concepts easier to understand by using a strong emphasis on the application of concepts to real life scenarios in order to make learning interesting and more coherent for my students. As a learner myself, I have a strong ability to relate with my students, helping them to navigate and succeed in their personal learning process. For example, one of the students I tutored from 8th grade to 11th grade has recently gone on to become a successful student in business school. It has been a great joy to be able to serve as a positive influence in someone’s life!
I hold an MS. Degree in Chemistry from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a prestigious university in China. I have tutored for SAT/ACT standardized testing preparation, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics courses. I am currently teaching AP Computer Science and other programming courses, as technology is quickly becoming my emerging passion.
