I am a European tutor trained in British English, and I have been living in the United States (as a U.S. citizen) for the past 17 years. Writing is a very complex skill that, in fact, differs from one culture to another. Writing well implies one's familiarity with diverse and complex texts and grammatical structures; on a higher level, such as literary writing, it also requires philological training (philology= "love of words") which is a European traditional method less known in the United States. I studied Montessori directly in Italian in Naples, Italy where I taught English to private Italian clients's children. Most recently, I have obtained a certification in Multisensory Teaching Approach (MTA/Dyslexia, Kris Smith's program) in Texas, and I have been teaching Dyslexia/Dysgraphia/SPED students also at a public school. I hold a Bachelor's degree that includes Child Psychology credits and I practiced with special needs children (wheelchair-bound cerebral palsy patients) at Romanian orphanages; in addition, I worked as a teacher and translator for UNICEF in Bucharest, Romania. In the United States, since 2012, I have taught children diagnosed with mild psychiatric affections (functional level).
