My education consists of my homeschool years and my experiences at Texas A&M University as well as DCCCD Community Colleges. I was homeschooled preK-12th grade; I'm familiar with different homeschooling methods and curricula. While completing my highschool credits, I enrolled at Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch, Texas. The small classroom settings allowed me to better interact with the professors. I took my basic science courses at Brookhaven; Mechanical Physics, General Chemistry, and Biology for science majors. I was accepted for my Junior year by Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Here I took my more advanced science classes, such as Virology, Parasitology, and Biochemistry. I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences.
Since graduating, I've had the opportunity to teach in various settings. I briefly taught multiple courses, such as Biology, Algebra I and II, and Chemistry at private Christian schools in Canton, TX. Again, I used homeschool curricula to teach these courses. I shifted directions towards tutoring, which allowed me more one-on-one interaction with my students. While I have tutored in sciences, most of my experience has been for math. Currently, I am homeschooling my daughter and hope to offer my unique set of experiences to homeschooling families.
