I was a “straight-A” student throughout my schooling years. I realized I had a passion to become a teacher when I was in high school so I attended a 2-year teaching profession technical school in addition to my junior and senior year classes. I have 400 hours of experience working with all levels of education including some observations in special needs. My favorite subject is anything English and Language Arts as I was an avid reader growing up. I have a Teaching Professions certificate through Eastland-Fairfield Career Technical School from Ohio. I also tutored elementary age children at Kumon Learning Center in Gahanna, Ohio during my junior year. During my time there I would work with 1-4 children at a time.

I now have two young boys. I plan to homeschool them both for their elementary education. I work with my 2 year old already with some early tot school techniques, mostly learning through play and Montessori-based instruction. The “aha” moment when a child finally picks up on a new skill is my favorite part of teaching. I think it is very important to instill a love for reading into every child.

I averaged an A in all my math classes. I averaged an A+ in all my English classes. I was an avid reader with an expansive vocabulary.

I have spent the last two years researching how to homeschool small children and I have experience working with my own children as a stay at home mother for two years. My older son is only two years old and he knows his alphabet, can count to 10, colors, shapes, animals, household items, etc. He is very advanced for his age.
