Greetings from Granbury! I’m Araceli (everyone calls me Arci) and I have lived in North Texas for six years. I am a native Texan--I was born and raised in El Paso--and I have both my bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).

I have taught Political Science and Government at the collegiate level since 2006 and I enjoy every minute of it! I pride myself on being able to make these topics relatable and exciting for all ages, and on helping students develop skills that they can use in the real world. Reading and writing are important to me, so I find ways to incorporate those elements into my teaching in an effort to honor critical thinking skills.
I find these subjects fascinating and that allows me to help students find them fascinating as well. I’m an engaging and entertaining teacher and I love developing mentoring relationships with my students. This makes me directly invested in their success--and that in turn makes them more successful!
