I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016 with an honors physics degree. I started tutoring when I was a student and have continued since graduating. I have over 3,500 hours of experience tutoring high school and college level physics and math - a majority of which is online.

I enjoyed studying math and physics during college but found my passion in helping students understand difficult concepts and learn how to approach new topics. I want my students to eventually not need me. A lot of students that I've taught have become tutors in the material themselves.

At the beginning of each session, I go over the short-term and long-term goals of the session and adjust my tutoring style accordingly. I am always looking for feedback. If in the middle of a session you don't feel like I'm doing the very best job possible, we will take a step back and try something else.
Please contact me if you have any questions or want to schedule a session!

*COVID update* I know this year is going to be a difficult adjustment for many students. I'm able to fill in any gaps in knowledge from last year needed in current coursework.

Group Rates - If you have a group of students that wants to set up a group session, we can arrange that. I feel comfortable teaching all high school and college level math and physics topics. My group rates are below.

Calculus,

Calculus

I love calculus. I took AP calculus AB in high school, and then made a 5 by self-studying for the AP calculus BC exam. At university, my test scores allowed me to skip the two sequence class, but I took both calculus application classes and used calculus in the majority of my physics classes. I also have tutored it extensively at the college level, both for university and community college students.
Physics,

Physics

I majored in physics at UT. I have been an undergraduate teaching assistant for algebra-based physics, where I taught the lab portion and led office hours and reviews for lecture portion. Most of my tutoring experience is in physics 1 and 2.
SAT Math,

SAT Math

I made a 780 on my SAT Math and a 770 on my SAT Math II subject test in 2011. Since then I have tutored all of the math subjects tested on the exam individually.

Very Patient and Understanding!

Never hesitated to answer any of my questions, even if I ask the same questions 5 times. Also, gave me clear explanations that I can understand ,and gave me time to process the concepts.

Whitney Got me Through Physics

I went in to college physics 2 during the Fall of 2021 after completing physics 1 during the summer. I went in confident, but boy was I wrong. I made a 39 on my first test. After that, I started going to Whitney. I made an 81, 79, & 73 on my next tests & ended up with a B in the class. I met with her about once a week. She is very understanding and explains material in a way that is easy to understand. She was very willing to work with me & was able to explain things multiple ways if I did not understand at first. If I ever have to take physics again, I won’t make the mistake of not going to her.
