I am a current medical school student at The University of Texas Medical Branch. I’m in my third year, and I am actively seeing patients in the hospital and clinic. Before pursuing medical education, I earned my Bachelor’s in Science at the University of Texas at Austin in Psychology with a Pre-Health Certificate, where I earned a GPA of 3.95.
I started my tutoring journey at UT Austin, where I served as a Learning Assistant for a Physics II class. There, I helped students understand concepts like magnetism and electricity. I then went on to become a tutor with Varsity Tutors, where I am certified to teach AP and High School Chemistry, SAT, and MCAT. I also earned a certification to tutor first year medical school courses at my medical school, including Anatomy & Physiology, Neurology, and Hematology. I have taught in both group and individual settings.
I value a student-centered approach to learning, where I asked open-ended questions and allow students to answer, because that allows me to assess their understanding of topics.
