I am a certified Texas EC–6 teacher with classroom experience in elementary education, including special education and ESL support. I have taught students in kindergarten through upper elementary and have extensive experience building strong foundational skills in reading, phonics, math, and study habits. I am a certified Texas EC–6 teacher with classroom experience in elementary education, including special education and ESL support. I have taught students in kindergarten through upper elementary and have extensive experience building strong foundational skills in reading, phonics, math, and study habits. I have worked in both general education and inclusive classroom settings.

My teaching approach is structured, relationship-based, and focused on building confidence. I believe students learn best when expectations are clear and support is consistent. I specialize in helping students strengthen early reading skills, improve math understanding, and develop executive functioning and study strategies. I have also participated in 504 meetings and implemented accommodations for students with ADHD and diverse learning needs.

I also work frequently with struggling readers, using phonics-based instruction and targeted reading strategies to improve decoding, fluency, and comprehension. My goal is to help students build the foundational skills they need while also developing confidence and a more positive relationship with reading.

In tutoring, I assess where a student is academically, identify skill gaps, and create a clear plan with measurable progress. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students feel capable and motivated. I work closely with parents to ensure communication is strong and goals are aligned so students receive consistent support both during sessions and beyond.
