I am a retired finance executive with an engineering degree and MBA from Cornell. I tutor part-time to help students gain understanding and confidence. As a student I scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT, was recognized as a Cornell National Scholar and was further recognized as Cornell’s Top Scholar Athlete in my senior year. In my second year of business school, I was chosen as a tutor for three struggling first year students and helped those individuals succeed in challenging finance and operations classes. One of my favorite aspects of being a business executive was mentoring team members, especially those taking on challenging or potentially confusing tasks.
I work with high school students in the subjects of algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus. I also work with college finance students. My style is patient and straightforward. I break things down to simpler steps and build understanding at a manageable pace. The focus is on steady improvement, not last minute test prep.
All sessions are on line. I offer flexible availability Monday through Thursday.
