I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, where I built a strong foundation in programming, data structures, and software engineering. I am currently working as a professional software engineer, where I apply these concepts daily by building and maintaining real-world systems. My work experience allows me to connect academic concepts to practical applications, helping students understand not just how code works, but why it is written a certain way in real environments.

During my time at Texas A&M, I served as a teaching assistant for an introductory C++ course. In this role, I worked with freshmen and sophomore students from a variety of majors, many of whom were learning programming for the first time. I taught in both classroom lab settings and one-on-one during office hours, helping students complete assignments, debug their code, and prepare for exams. This experience taught me how to break down complex programming concepts into clear, approachable explanations and adapt my teaching style to different levels of experience.

My approach to tutoring focuses on helping students think through problems rather than just providing answers. I guide students step-by-step as they debug code, understand assignment requirements, and build confidence in their problem-solving skills. Whether a student is struggling with basic syntax or more advanced topics like data structures, I aim to create a supportive environment where they can ask questions freely and leave each session with a deeper understanding of the material.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have been certified to tutor Algebra 1 and have a strong foundation in mathematics from my Computer Science degree at Texas A&M University. I have experience helping students build confidence in working with equations, inequalities, functions, and problem-solving techniques. My approach emphasizes understanding concepts rather than memorizing procedures, making it easier for students to succeed on assignments and tests. I work one-on-one with students to identify gaps and guide them step-by-step toward mastery.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I am certified to tutor Algebra 2 and have strong experience explaining math concepts to students of varying skill levels. I help students tackle topics such as complex equations, quadratic and polynomial functions, and exponential/logarithmic relationships. My approach focuses on step-by-step guidance and practical examples, helping students gain both understanding and confidence. I aim to make challenging material approachable and provide strategies for success in homework, tests, and classwork.
C++

C++

I have extensive experience working with C++ both academically and in a teaching environment. I served as a teaching assistant for an introductory C++ course at Texas A&M University, where I helped students understand core programming concepts, complete assignments, and debug their code. I worked closely with freshmen and sophomore students in both lab sessions and one-on-one office hours, giving me experience explaining concepts to beginners. My approach focuses on helping students build strong problem-solving skills while gaining confidence in reading, writing, and debugging C++ programs.
Calculus

Calculus

I am certified to tutor Calculus and have a strong background in mathematics through my Computer Science degree. I work with students to understand core topics including limits, derivatives, integrals, and applications to real-world problems. My teaching emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving strategies, and building confidence in tackling complex calculus problems. I adapt each session to the student’s needs, providing clear explanations and guided practice.
Computer Programming

Computer Programming

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and work professionally as a software engineer. I have experience teaching programming fundamentals as a teaching assistant for an introductory course, where I worked with freshmen and sophomore students learning to code for the first time. I regularly helped students understand core concepts such as variables, control flow, functions, and debugging. My approach focuses on breaking down complex ideas into simple steps and helping students build confidence as they learn how to write and understand their own code.
Computer Science

Computer Science

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and currently work as a professional software engineer. My background includes core areas such as programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. I also served as a teaching assistant for an introductory programming course, where I supported freshmen and sophomore students through labs and one-on-one office hours. I specialize in helping students understand difficult concepts, debug their code, and build confidence in problem-solving across a wide range of computer science topics.
Data Structures

Data Structures

I have a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms through my computer science degree from the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and my work as a professional software engineer. I regularly apply concepts such as arrays, linked lists, trees, hash tables, and graph algorithms in both academic and real-world contexts. As a former teaching assistant for an introductory programming course, I helped students understand how these structures work and how to apply them to solve problems efficiently. I focus on building intuition, walking through problems step-by-step, and helping students gain confidence with both coursework and technical interviews.
Physics

Physics

I am certified to tutor Physics and have a strong background in science and math from my Computer Science degree. I help students understand fundamental principles of mechanics, forces, energy, electricity, and motion. My approach emphasizes building intuition alongside problem-solving techniques, making physics accessible and less intimidating. I guide students step-by-step through problems and real-world examples to ensure understanding and success in assignments and exams
Precalculus

Precalculus

I am certified to tutor Precalculus and have experience helping students prepare for college-level math. My approach emphasizes understanding core concepts such as functions, trigonometry, and graphing, and applying them to problem-solving scenarios. I focus on guiding students step-by-step, helping them develop strong analytical skills, and providing the tools to succeed in assignments and exams. Sessions are tailored to each student’s pace and learning style.
Python

Python

I use Python regularly as a professional software engineer to build applications, scripts, and backend systems. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, where I developed a strong foundation in programming and problem-solving. As a former teaching assistant, I helped students learn programming fundamentals and debug their code in one-on-one and classroom settings. I focus on helping students understand Python concepts clearly, write clean code, and confidently work through assignments and projects.
