I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, where I built a strong foundation in programming, data structures, and software engineering. I am currently working as a professional software engineer, where I apply these concepts daily by building and maintaining real-world systems. My work experience allows me to connect academic concepts to practical applications, helping students understand not just how code works, but why it is written a certain way in real environments.
During my time at Texas A&M, I served as a teaching assistant for an introductory C++ course. In this role, I worked with freshmen and sophomore students from a variety of majors, many of whom were learning programming for the first time. I taught in both classroom lab settings and one-on-one during office hours, helping students complete assignments, debug their code, and prepare for exams. This experience taught me how to break down complex programming concepts into clear, approachable explanations and adapt my teaching style to different levels of experience.
My approach to tutoring focuses on helping students think through problems rather than just providing answers. I guide students step-by-step as they debug code, understand assignment requirements, and build confidence in their problem-solving skills. Whether a student is struggling with basic syntax or more advanced topics like data structures, I aim to create a supportive environment where they can ask questions freely and leave each session with a deeper understanding of the material.
