Hi, I’m Sadie, a Frisco, Texas private elementary math tutor, reading tutor, and academic English tutor serving students in grades 2–6. With nearly 20 years of public school teaching experience—including 12 years in 4th grade, 5 years in 2nd grade, and experience teaching 5th grade math and science—I bring deep knowledge of Texas curriculum standards, TEKS objectives, MAP growth assessments, and STAAR expectations.

I hold a Texas EC–6 teaching certification and specialize in structured, one-on-one tutoring designed to build true mastery. I work with students who need to close learning gaps as well as high-achieving students ready for challenge and acceleration. My background includes classroom instruction, targeted small-group intervention, and private tutoring in Frisco.

As an elementary math tutor, I emphasize conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mastery of grade-level TEKS so students can confidently tackle multi-step word problems, fractions, and advanced concepts. As a reading tutor, I use Science of Reading–aligned phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension strategies to develop strong, independent readers. For English learners (ELL/ESL students), I provide structured support in listening, speaking, reading, and writing to strengthen academic language and classroom confidence.
Every tutoring plan begins with assessment and progresses intentionally. Families who commit to consistent weekly sessions often see measurable growth within the first month, including stronger classroom performance, MAP progress, and increased readiness for STAAR.

If you are seeking an experienced, results-focused elementary math and reading tutor in Frisco who prioritizes mastery, independence, and long-term academic confidence, I would be honored to partner with your family.

Elementary Math

Elementary Math

With over 13 years of dedicated classroom experience teaching elementary mathematics, I bring a deep, practical expertise in helping students build strong foundational skills that lead to long-term success in math. I have worked with students with different abilities, including: ADHD, GT, SpEd, those who struggle, and everything in between.
English

English

Through many years of teaching in public school, I have had ELL students placed in my classroom. I consistently supported newcomer-level Emergent Bilingual students in my elementary classrooms by implementing effective, research-aligned practices that led to quick gains in English proficiency. I emphasized vocabulary building, provided sentence frames to help students confidently construct and speak full sentences, and used scaffolding techniques—such as visuals, graphic organizers, and real-world connections—to help them grasp and engage with grade-level content in subjects like mathematics and science.
ESL/ESOL

ESL/ESOL

Although I was not a designated ESL teacher, I consistently supported newcomer-level Emergent Bilingual students in my elementary classrooms by implementing effective, research-aligned practices that led to quick gains in English proficiency. I emphasized vocabulary building, provided sentence frames to help students confidently construct and speak full sentences, and used scaffolding techniques—such as visuals, graphic organizers, and real-world connections—to help them grasp and engage with grade-level content in subjects like mathematics and science.
Reading

Reading

For K-2, I focus on foundational skills such as decoding multisyllabic words, phonics, building vocabulary through context clues, and improving fluency. For 2nd grade and up, depending on the needs, I focus on deepening comprehension strategies for both literary and informational texts, including analyzing themes, author's purpose, text structures, and making inferences.
