I earned my B.S. in Psychology, minor in Neuroscience, from the University of Texas at Dallas, and I’m a nationally certified Spanish medical interpreter. Additionally, I earned a 511 MCAT score (85th percentile), which helped secure my seat in medical school this fall. During college, I maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher, earning me the UT Dallas Academic Excellence Scholarship for four consecutive years.
For the past year, I’ve tutored middle-school, high-school, and college students—almost entirely one-on-one in a chat-based setting—across algebra, geometry, chemistry, biology, psychology, essay writing, ACT/SAT prep, and even one MCAT student. My style is empathetic and adaptive: I begin each session by gauging how a student learns best, then break material into clear, bite-sized goals while modeling problem-solving steps out loud. Being bilingual lets me support Spanish-speaking learners, and my clinical-interpretation training keeps my explanations precise, patient, and culturally sensitive.
Teaching is a passion of mine that I hope to strengthen each and every day. Students deserve to be heard, supported, and reminded of how incredible they are. I strongly believe that learning should come from a positive place, and that means creating a safe, non-judgmental space for each of my students. Some of my favorite teachers always made an effort to connect class topics to the real world, showing me the big picture behind their lessons. Additionally, they saw me as a person, not just as a student or a job they had to complete. Behind each question and session, I aim to not just help students excel in their academics but also foster and uplift their unique strengths!
