I earned my B.S. in Psychology, minor in Neuroscience, from the University of Texas at Dallas, and I’m a nationally certified Spanish medical interpreter. Additionally, I earned a 511 MCAT score (85th percentile), which helped secure my seat in medical school this fall. During college, I maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher, earning me the UT Dallas Academic Excellence Scholarship for four consecutive years.

For the past year, I’ve tutored middle-school, high-school, and college students—almost entirely one-on-one in a chat-based setting—across algebra, geometry, chemistry, biology, psychology, essay writing, ACT/SAT prep, and even one MCAT student. My style is empathetic and adaptive: I begin each session by gauging how a student learns best, then break material into clear, bite-sized goals while modeling problem-solving steps out loud. Being bilingual lets me support Spanish-speaking learners, and my clinical-interpretation training keeps my explanations precise, patient, and culturally sensitive.

Teaching is a passion of mine that I hope to strengthen each and every day. Students deserve to be heard, supported, and reminded of how incredible they are. I strongly believe that learning should come from a positive place, and that means creating a safe, non-judgmental space for each of my students. Some of my favorite teachers always made an effort to connect class topics to the real world, showing me the big picture behind their lessons. Additionally, they saw me as a person, not just as a student or a job they had to complete. Behind each question and session, I aim to not just help students excel in their academics but also foster and uplift their unique strengths!

Anatomy

Anatomy

I completed an anatomy course during my first year of medical school, where I gained knowledge of human structure and function. My coursework included cadaver dissections, clinical correlations, and imaging interpretation. I scored 96 on the NBME final, demonstrating strong mastery of anatomical concepts. This foundation equips me to explain complex topics clearly and accurately.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

Writing essays, whether for college/medical school admissions or for tests, was always a moment of brief dread for me. However, after successfully passing my AP Lang and AP Rhetoric tests, in addition to writing numerous essays for college and medical school admissions, I now understand the value of writing from a professional and personal viewpoint. I hope to share that passion with my students and work with them at their own pace to hone their writing skills.
MCAT

MCAT

I scored a 511 on the 2024 MCAT and will be starting medical school as an incoming MS1. I understand how challenging and stressful this exam can be, and I’ve developed effective study strategies that have helped me stay consistent and overcome test anxiety. My approach focuses on building a strong foundation, mastering high-yield content, and developing confidence through practice. I'm excited to support students on their own MCAT journey with encouragement, structure, and my own experience.
Psychology

Psychology

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience and have a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied psychological concepts. I scored competitively on the psychology and sociology section of the MCAT I’ve also tutored students in psychology from high school to college level, helping them grasp the material through clear explanations and real-world examples, which makes learning so much more interesting (especially in Psychology!). My approach is about not just memorization, but meaningful understanding to support long-term academic success.
Spanish

Spanish

I am a fluent Spanish speaker, born and raised in Colombia, and I’ve used Spanish daily throughout my life. I’m a certified Spanish medical interpreter with training in medical terminology and real-world practice interpreting for patients and providers. I’ve also taught conversational Spanish in informal settings and enjoy helping others gain confidence through real conversations. My background allows me to explain cultural nuances as well as language, making learning more meaningful and practical.
Writing

Writing

I took AP Language and Composition and AP Rhetoric, earning a score of 4 on both exams. I’ve tutored writing for over a year, helping students from middle school through college with assignments ranging from essays to lab reports. As a premed student, I also wrote highly competitive personal statements and secondary essays for medical school applications, which helped me write with clarity, purpose, and persuasion. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in writing techniques and strategies that I now use to help students excel.
