Math and test prep don’t have to be stressful—with the right strategies, they can even be enjoyable. Ever since taking the ACT and SAT recently for my college application process, I have been keen to help others in this process. I love helping student reach their goals, and I love hearing y ’all’s stories too!

I’m Akhil S, a Math and Finance student at the University of Texas at Austin, and I have a deep passion for problem-solving, logic. Basically, I love solving problems and will be a great tutor for you or your child! My academic background includes 1st place in the 2024 Texas State (TAPPS) Advanced Math Competition and a perfect 36 on the ACT. I am also a past National Merit Commended Scholar and graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA.

I specialize in ACT and SAT prep, but I also love working on all math subjects. My tutoring style is interactive and adaptive—I tailor my explanations to each student’s learning style, using graphs, real-world applications, step-by-step breakdowns, and targeted practice. I encourage students to actively participate in problem-solving rather than just passively listening, because learning happens by doing. I mostly make my practice problems myself or use my past textbooks or test prep books for problems. For in-person and virtual tutoring, I use a whiteboard, and I recommend students to either use that or utilize pen/pencils.
