Hello, my future students and parents! A little bit about myself first, I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two boy 10 and 14. My 10 year has mental health needs, learning differences and Autism and my 14 year has ADHD. Hello, my future students and parents! A little bit about myself first, I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two boy 10 and 14. My 10 year has mental health needs, learning differences and Autism and my 14 year has ADHD. I mention this because when I taught I loved to get the whole family involved at certain times to practice new skills.
I have been in education for 19 years, between working as a preschool teacher, working in the school district as a teachers aid and then as a certified special education teacher. I have worked with general education students 3 years to 5th, but usually I tutor up to 3rd grade.
I have worked with students who have had a wide range of special needs, ranging from minor learning differences, Intellectual differences, Down Syndrome, fine motor skill and kids that use prologue to speak. I mainly worked with students that have Autism. I worked with them in a virtual and face to face setting. A lot of my virtual student were limited language to nonverbal and we were still able to master a lot of their goals. I am used to and enjoy making "free style" lesson plans for each of my students to make the most of their progress.
If you are looking for a tutor that is able and has had history of teaching one on one and in small groups of student that are general education or students that have special needs I am the tutor for you.!
I am a certified general education teacher, who works with kids kindergarten through 6th grade in Texas. I like tutoring in grades Kinder through 3rd grade. platform for prepping for a test, quiz and even for reading assignments. I, create my own lesson plans to fit the needs of the students.
