Hi! I am a marine biologist that became a high school science teacher. I studied at West Texas A&M University before starting my masters at Corpus Christi A&M in Marine Biology. I have worked with genetics in sharks through my undergrad and continued with genetics in my masters.
I now work as a high school science teacher, teaching both biology and aquatic sciences. I love all things science and love helping people understand it better.
I have a wealth of knowledge and am very patient when it comes to matters of science. To me there is nothing better than sitting down and helping someone understand the world around them in a much better way. This allows them to potentially do the same and help others learn from them. I would love to help you fully understand the science you are working in so as to not only help you pass your classes but help with your use of it in the future. My approach is to guide the student to the answer so that they understand how we got it and them have them duplicate the steps. I like to use PowerPoint, Word, Flash cards, nearpod, and other tools like these to help facilitate a smooth tutoring experience.
