Hello! My name is Harper, and I am a current law student at Texas A&M School of Law. I attended Washington University in St. Louis as an undergraduate. I owe my personal academic success to all of my previous teachers and mentors, and I am excited to guide your student to their academic success!
Since high school, I have developed experience in tutoring students from early elementary to high school. Specifically, I have almost two years of experience in elementary, middle school, and high school test prep tutoring, both in-person and in an online classroom. I have two years in college writing tutoring, including all types of research and writing projects. I also have one year of experience as a full-time associate elementary teacher. My teaching style centers student engagement. Through both guided practice and teacher demonstration, I ensure students understand the concept and can complete the skill on their own.
Throughout my experience, I have worked with English as second language students, dyslexic readers, and students with ADHD. I have experience teaching elementary school subjects, middle school math, algebra and geometry, high school entrance exam, ACT, college essays, research reports, creative writing, and graduate school applications.
I am passionate about empowering students to gain the skills and knowledge they need to reach their personal goals. My students feel comfortable, confident, and challenged in our sessions together. I would be honored to work with you or your student!
