I specialize in AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, college Principles of Micro and Macro, Intermediate Microeconomics, and Principles of Accounting. I currently teach AP Economics and accounting to high school students and tutor online every week, so I know what AP graders look for, from drawing and labeling graphs correctly to writing free-response answers that earn every available point. For college students, I help bridge the jump from principles courses to intermediate theory, where graphs give way to calculus, optimization, and formal models. In accounting, I focus on building a solid foundation in the accounting equation, journal entries, and financial statements so later topics make sense instead of feeling like memorized rules.
My approach is simple. First, I find out what you already understand and where things stop making sense. Then I connect new concepts to the real world, like why prices jump after a hurricane or how interest rate decisions show up in a car loan, so ideas stick instead of being memorized and forgotten. We work through problems together, and I gradually step back until you can solve them confidently on your own.
I work with high school students, college students, and adults returning to school or picking up these subjects for work. I've taught students from the U.S., China, and Brazil, and I'm especially patient with English language learners and anyone encountering a subject for the first time.
