I have 10+ years of working with students with ASD, LD and BD. I prefer and specialize in working with students with behavior disorders, am CPI trained, and practice verbal de-escalation techniques on a daily basis. I assist my co-teachers with designing accommodations. I am finishing my 6th year of being a certified special education teacher as well as having 200 + hours of training in ASD. My best friend is also ASD and I will assist her by going to support groups with her and assisting her in real life social skills situations, which are sometimes difficult for her.

I also have designed cross curricular projects and activities that are directly STAAR related. I have over 100 hours of training on STAAR questions, and recently have taken an interest in the new STAAR open-answer questions. I have taught students and other team members about the new formatted questions and have practiced this during the school day at the school I work at as well as Saturday School tutoring.
