I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration and have spent the past 17 years deeply involved in education through homeschooling my four children from kindergarten through high school graduation. Teaching across all subjects over nearly two decades has given me extensive hands-on experience explaining concepts in multiple ways, adapting lessons to different learning styles, and building strong academic foundations. In addition to core academic subjects, I have also taught Bible, leading students in thoughtful discussion, reading comprehension, historical context, and application. My background in business has strengthened my ability to teach practical skills such as organization, critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving.
My teaching experience has primarily been one-on-one and small group instruction within our homeschool setting, where I designed curriculum plans, assessed progress, and adjusted instruction based on each child’s strengths and challenges. I have worked across subjects including math, reading, writing, science, social studies, and Bible, and I understand how to break complex ideas into manageable steps that build confidence. Because I have guided students from early elementary through high school, I am especially comfortable helping upper elementary and middle school students solidify core skills that prepare them for higher-level work.
I believe learning should be clear, encouraging, and structured. My goal is not just to help students complete assignments, but to help them understand the “why” behind what they are learning so they gain independence and confidence. I aim to create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing academically.
