I’m Valerie, a J1 nursing student at Texas Woman’s University. I scored a 92% overall on the ATI TEAS exam on July 2025. My individual section scores were 82% in Reading, 94% in Math, 96% in Science, and a perfect 100% in English and Language Usage.

My goal as a tutor is to help students focus on the highest-yield concepts so they can study smarter, not longer. My approach is personalized. I’m more than happy to re-teach a concept. I bring a variety of tutoring experience to the table. As a Kids Sunday School teacher, I take a weekly topic outline and turn it into a complete, engaging lesson with PowerPoints and activities that reinforce understanding and encourage practical application. I’ve also tutored one-on-one in high school Geometry and AP/IB Spanish, as well as college-level Anatomy & Physiology and Statistics. Finally, I served as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for A&P I last fall, where I lead two review sessions weekly. This role focuses on blending “what to learn” with “how to learn,” providing students with content mastery and learning strategies they need to succeed.

Across all these experiences, I’ve learned how to create lessons that meet students exactly where they are and move them forward with confidence. I'm especially confident helping students master TEAS A&P, chemistry, biology, and English and language usage.
