Hi, I am Krysta! I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the Honors College of the University of Southern Mississippi. I also acquired a minor in Public Health and another minor in Spanish. Throughout my experience working as a peer tutor in the Learning Commons of my university, I learned how to tap into the strengths and abilities of students and use those assets to introduce difficult concepts in a new and recognizable way. All of my sessions are customized for each student and prepared in such a way as to best engage the student using effective and individualized learning strategies.
I have previous experience as a speech and writing tutor at the college level. During the process of completing my Honors College project thesis, I gained substantial knowledge in the fields of research and writing. In addition to this expertise, I am a practicing registered nurse in the state of Texas. I graduated at the top of my nursing class and passed the NCLEX on my first attempt with only 75 questions. While nursing is my primary specialty, my other qualified subjects include anatomy, biology, microbiology, and pharmacology.
