A life time of teaching life long learners

Hello,

I love teaching. It is my calling in life. I love engagement and fun and working towards an attainable goal and then celebrating our accomplishments. As students of life we all become life long learners who never stop learning. We are always learning. As soon as I graduated from High School I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I wanted to travel in a rock and roll band all over the country and that is exactly what I did for 12 years. I then worked in warehousing for several years before deciding that I should go to college.

I went to the University of Phoenix and received my BSBM and then my MAOM which I am very proud of. But - I also started working at the University of Phoenix as a Admission/Academic Counselor before I was promoted to the Academic Manager position. All in All I spent 7 years at the University of Phoenix and also ended up becoming an instructor there for several more years. But in 2005 I decided that I want to teach Middle School students English language arts and Reading. I have done this for the last 11 years and now I am ready for a new adventure in life.

I have been teaching for the last 20 years. 10 years at the University level teaching writing, critical thinking, and business courses to university students. Then for the 11 years in the public school system for middle school students who want to learn Reading and writing. I have a passion for teaching and love to engage student and encourage them to be life long learners.

I'd like to tutor as many students as I can and encourage students to contact me. I will work with you as much as I can with your schedule and your lessons. Let's go!
