I will complete general surgery residency in summer 2022, graduated from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine with an M.D. in 2016, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology, minor in Chemistry in 2009. I have EMT-Basic training, and study abroad experience in Ecuador. During the years in between undergrad and medical school, I worked for the UIUC Department of Chemistry as a teaching assistant, and held two positions in research labs, one in evolutionary biology, and one in plant genetics. I also worked for a year training to be the farm foreman at the UIUC Sustainable Student Farm.

I presently live in Orlando, FL. From 2012-2013 I taught MCAT prep in all subjects for courses offered by Examkrackers, Inc. I was a teaching assistant for general chemistry at UIUC (CHEM 102 and CHEM 104), an organic chemistry and general chemistry instructor for The Princeton Review MCAT Prep class, a tutor for Urbana Adult Education (for GED classes), and have taught chemistry to children.

I always ask students to describe what type of approach to tutoring suits them the best. Typically, I aid in the review of course materials, lectures or exercises; however, I am open to creating and presenting original lectures. I work with all ages, have worked the most with University students, and have a series of prepared interactive "kitchen science" projects for children. Usually I meet with students at a public library or a cafe, and I am willing to meet elsewhere. In the era of Covid-19, I am happy to meet virtually.
