Hello! My name is Jazmin and I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso. I am currently a Junior.
In high school, I scored "Mastery" in all Mathematics Texas STAAR and EOC exams, and additionally scored a 5 on the AP Calculus AB Exam. My main goal is to help students struggling by teaching them using simple and easy learning methods and vocabulary. I want to provide them with easy to use organizational and study tools to help them succeed. Being a student myself, I can also relate to student and understand that each student has their own preferred learning style. I tutored and served as a mentor for underclassmen for about 2 years until I graduated in 2024.
Subsequently, I began to work as a Center Assistant at a Kumon Math and Reading center for over a year and later continued to tutor privately using Microsoft Teams since then. I genuinely enjoy working with students and parents and helping them reach their academic goals. I've worked with a range of grades from Pre-K 3 to college students; however, the majority of my students have been in the 9th-11th grade range.
