I look forward to working with you or a family member as needed. I have over 16 years experience as a teacher and coach in a variety of subjects at the middle and high school level. I enjoy working with students of all backgrounds and educational needs in a method that prioritizes the student's preferred way of learning in an effort to help them reach their educational goals.

I have taught all levels of Math, from Algebra 1 to Pre Calculus. Subjects include Statistics, Geometry, Remedial Math, STAAR test prep, and Algebra 2. I have worked with students at all learning levels. No challenge is too big. I will do my best to connect with you or your student in a way that motivates inspires and allows for optimal learning opportunities. I have thrived in both small and large classrooms as well as before or after school small group or individual tutoring sessions.

I also have worked with students in a variety of regular and advanced History courses to include US and World History, Government and Economics, and other specialized AP courses such as Comparative Government. I have covered both material and the advanced writing needed in these courses to help students on a plan for success in their respective courses. In addition, I have covered courses in Science, English, and Family Consumer Sciences as needed in high school setting and worked to help students achieve their goals.

I have degrees from UTEP at both the Bachelors and Masters level in History with minors in Mathematics. I have teaching certifications in Math, Speech, and Family and Consumer Sciences. I feel comfortable working with the subject matter you choose me for and will work to design a session that maximizes time and efficiency for the help you seek. I am very patient and not afraid of a difficult tutoring or learning session.

In addition, I have coached basketball at a successful level over that timeframe, so help in athletic or exercise training is something I am available for as well.
