Hello, I'm Dyanna! I am a licensed cosmetologist and a current college student working toward becoming an elementary school teacher. I'm completing my associate's degree and will be transferring to the University of Rio Grande Valley to earn my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Teaching has always been my passion of mine, and every step I take in my education brings me closer to my goal of having my own classroom.
Throughout high school and college, I gained hands-on teaching experience by tutoring and volunteering in elementary classrooms. I worked with students from 2nd to 5th grade, helping them with reading, writing, and math. These experiences taught me how to break down challenging concepts, encourage students when they feel stuck, and create a positive learning environment where they feel supported and confident.
As a cosmetologist, I've also developed strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to guide others step-by-step skills which transfer perfectly into tutoring. I enjoy helping students understand new material in a simple and engaging way, and I always adapt my approach to match each child's learning style. I'm committed to helping every student grow, stay motivated, and feel proud of their progress. I would love the opportunity to support students and families through this tutoring program.
