Contrary to the general idea that math is incomprehensible, I believe that everyone actually has an innate sense and understanding of math. Oftentimes when tutoring students, I find that when a problem is presented to them in a more basic form, they can easily solve a problem that they could not beforehand. This is my approach to tutoring. I take what you do know and show you how to connect and apply that knowledge to something new. I believe everyone can understand math better when it is presented to them at their level.
I would say I formally have 5 to 10 years of experience. However, off the record I have around fifteen years of experience. While in college, I tutored in their Math Lab. At the Math Lab, help was offered to Algebra, Calculus, Finite, and Statistics students, as well as other math students. Since graduating I have tutored eighth grade math to high school algebra. I have also tutored HiSET math and college calculus. If you need help understanding math at any level, I would be happy to help. Feel free to reach out to me.
