My name is Alexandra, and I am a Brown University graduate who has just graduated from medical school this spring. Before I start residency, I will be available to tutor private clients for a per-needs basis. I am also a Kaplan SAT certified tutor with ability to help students create and stick to a study schedule. I have a method of alternating practice tests and generating increases in tests scores by creating easy, step-by-step methods to efficiently eliminate weak spots. I am happy to tutor to all subjects to a high school level, and college level math, science, english, art and social studies, for the MCAT, up to doctorate-level science and medical topics.
Personally, I love to work with lots of different people! I volunteered teaching a group of 10 6th-grade inner-city Providence children journalism, computers and art, where I learned how to keep childrens' attention and make learning fun for them by incorporating in into what they already like to do! For example, I've taught people which apps to download to do boring rote memorization, and how to use newspaper-layout design programs to encourage kids to make their essays just as interesting as a magazine article that we can print.
