I am a Duke Graduate with a B.A. in developmental psychology and an M.A. in teaching with a specialization in Math. However I am certified to teach all core subjects. I have two years of full time experience teaching 6th and 7th grade mathematics and over five years of private tutoring experience working with children aging from 3rd grade through high school. I have two years of full time experience teaching 6th and 7th grade mathematics and over five years of private tutoring experience working with children aging from 3rd grade through high school. I would love the opportunity to support your student academically. 
My rates are $30 for a 30 minute session and $45 for an hour. What we cover and how much time we spend on subjects is entirely up to you, though I am happy to provide recommendations if you prefer. I allow one free session for us to meet, establish goals, and get to know one another before any commitment. 

I have extensive experience working with students of all ages teaching math in addition to an academic background with the finer conceptual points of effectively conveying math content. My M.A. was specifically focused on math instruction and acquiring insight into building conceptual understanding in math students.

A primary goal of mine as a teacher and tutor is to give my students confidence in their abilities as a scholar. Wherever you are starting from I will be able to help you and work with your current knowledge to push you to the next level. It is a great joy of mine to watch students learn and grow. Amazing Progress!

My daughter has been working with Abby since the Fall and just completed her Sorting state testing. She did amazing and made some of the most progress in the state! Can't thank Abby enough, she's been great and the score shows it. So good!

Knowledgeable, patient and engaging tutor

First lesson, she hit the ground running with, quite frankly, limited direction as of yet. Thankful she was on it! We're still getting exact areas of challenge, while Abby was able to walk through problems and learn on the spot some of what's happening.
