I am a former Assistant Principal with experience managing 5th-8th grade math teachers. I have served as a Middle School Math Content Specialist creating curriculum materials, assessments, running professional development sessions and coaching teachers. I also have experience as a 7th and 8th grade math teacher, with a 100% passing rate in Algebra 1. I am currently certified to teach 7-12 grade math. I am a proud alumni of New York University where I graduated and earned a Bachelors degree in Business Management (2015). I also hold a Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction for Math Education (2017). During my first year teaching, I was recognized as the Teacher of the Year for my campus. I have served as a consultant for K-12 educators and schools through Education PowerED where I am also a co-founder. Math has always been my favorite subject. I enjoy learning new skills, strategies and exploration of math content. My goal is to improve students' mindsets about their math capabilities and provide an encouraging, non-judgmental, and enriching environment for them to sharpen their skills.
