About Erin

My name is Erin, and I love math and science. I am a senior at the University of North Texas, where I am majoring in biochemistry. Because of my math skills, I was able to test out of pre-algebra, algebra, and algebra II. I received A's in calculus, calculus II, biology, and organic chemistry. I plan to go to graduate school and earn a PhD in biochemistry so that I can teach at the university level and conduct research, I can tutor both high school or college students in the following subjects: pre-algebra, algebra, algebra II, calculus, organic chemistry, and biology.

I am College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certified and have experience tutoring middle school, high school, and college students. My students often tell me that I am able to explain concepts more clearly than their teachers, and that I am very patient. Because I think math and science are fun, I am good at making my students see the fun side as well. I work as a Lead Tutor at the University of North Texas' Learning Center. As a lead tutor, I meet one-on-one or in groups with students to help them master the content of a variety of courses. I will be able to use this experience to work with my students outside UNT as well. I look forward to working with you, and I promise I will do my best to help you understand and enjoy math and science as much as I do.

Approved subjects

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
