Standardized tests have an undeserved reputation for being boring. In reality, they provide a fascinating glimpse into the most profound fields of human knowledge—math, science, history, law, etc. Standardized tests are not just hoops to jump through or hurdles to clear in your educational path. Instead, standardized tests can serve as springboards that launch you into a successful career.

Please reach out if you have any questions about my services. I would love to help you prep for your next exam!

Even math can be fun! I encourage my students to view math as a puzzle rather than a problem. If you're struggling in your high school math class, I'd like to help you build confidence and improve your math skills. Please contact me and let me know how I can assist you. I taught algebra and geometry at several public high schools in Texas. I have also been teaching test prep for more than 10 years, so I am familiar with the math sections of the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT.
Bar Exam

Bar Exam

Keith helps law-school graduates pass the bar exam by encouraging them to view it as a springboard rather than a hoop or hurdle. Keith's approach embraces visual aids for high-stakes test prep, and he was a creator of an illustrated MBE-prep product.
Chess

Chess

I have been playing chess since I was 8 years old. My dad and I used to play in the evenings, and I fondly remember the first time I beat him. In college, I honed my chess skills as a member of the Internet Chess Club. I logged hundreds of hours of play, and my rating was in the 1600s. I am a huge fan of Yasser Seirawan's books, which I use to review with my students.
College Counseling

College Counseling

I taught SAT prep for The Princeton Review for about five years. During that time, I taught our retail course, and I also taught a school-based SAT course at a public high school for two years. I have taught over 1,000 students in SAT prep, and a significant part of my job involved college admissions counseling. I helped students complete applications, draft personal statements, and design resumes. I also performed private tutoring for a few students, which included college admissions advising.
Genetics

Genetics

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame, and I attended graduate school in the biology department at UTEP, where I also worked as a laboratory Teaching Assistant. I later taught MCAT biology--which includes genetics--for a major test prep company for 10 years. I currently teach Organ Physiology at Southwestern University.
LSAT

LSAT

When it comes to LSAT prep, Keith has done it all! He earned a 99th-percentile score. He taught live courses for a major test-prep company. He developed a curriculum for an online test-prep company. And now, he offers private tutoring to teach his latest innovations.
MCAT

MCAT

I taught MCAT prep courses for The Princeton Review for about 10 years. I started teaching MCAT Biology in the early 2000s. I later began teaching the MCAT Verbal Reasoning and MCAT Organic Chemistry classes for The Princeton Review. I have an official MCAT Biology score of 12. I also teach biology at the university level; I am currently teaching Organ Physiology at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I have been teaching and marketing for over 10 years. During that time, I have honed my speaking ability, and I have lectured all across the country. In fact, I have lectured at 7 different universities in Texas, in addition to the Duke University School of Law and the University of Minneapolis Law School. I have also conducted poster presentations of my science research, and I taught at several public high schools in Texas. I understand how to entertain and educate a crowd, and I am a good skills coach. I worked for 10 years in the test prep industry helping people prepare for stressful events, so I also understand the psychology of performance anxiety.

An excellent tutor

I went to Keith predominantly for help on the LSAT games section and logical reasoning. He's taught me very helpful approaches and techniques for different game types, and more insightful ways to approach logical reasoning questions. He's also given me very helpful tips on how to go about my own study. The net result, I feel, has been a considerable increase in my confidence and skills level. On the side, I've also benefited a lot from Keith's passing on more general advice about an LSAT testing plan and law school applications. To summarize his teaching, I'd say Keith is very logical and thoughtful, he has strong mastery of the LSAT content, and he's got a knack for teaching. Tutorials with him have been great.

knowledgeable tutor

Keith is an incredible tutor who truly stands out. What makes him exceptional is his ability to adapt his teaching style to fit your unique needs—something I didn’t find with other tutors I worked with before him. His deep understanding of the LSAT and his thoughtful, clear explanations made a world of difference in my preparation. Early on, I struggled with understanding why certain answers were correct. Keith introduced me to the triple review technique, and it worked wonders for me. Over time, my practice test scores improved significantly, and I credit much of that progress to his guidance. Keith also went above and beyond by providing targeted resources for the types of questions that really challenged me, especially science-related passages. He taught me how to approach these questions methodically and how to eliminate wrong answers, which was a game-changer. His patience and encouragement made even the toughest material feel manageable. Studying for the LSAT is no easy task, but Keith made the process not only bearable but enjoyable. He provided helpful resources, study materials, and strategies tailored to my weaknesses, and his positivity kept me motivated throughout. I’m incredibly grateful for Keith’s mentorship, and I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to him again for guidance on the bar exam or law school applications. He’s a phenomenal tutor who genuinely cares about his students’ success, and I highly recommend him to anyone preparing for the LSAT or navigating the law school journey.

Knowledgeable and experienced.

My LSAT journey so far has not been the easiest. After a couple of sessions with Keith, I can confidently say I did benefit from him, but only to an extent. While I loved his honesty throughout the sessions, I felt several instances where his attitude toward my learning was uncalled for. He is understanding but not patient enough. He constantly reminded me not to take the test soon, which I did not appreciate. I was looking for a tutor with experience, mainly to have someone who could help me get 100% accuracy. I asked Keith to help me with a more challenging logic games problem which he claimed isn't on the actual test anymore, which is fine. However, when one of the entire sessions is dedicated to that one game because the tutor himself is just as confused as you, if not more, I think it's easy to say I wasted $87 more than once.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

I like Keith style of tutoring. He help me a lot with improving my legal research memo. He had some great ideas about the organization of the memo. I appreciate his time and effort. Especially, available at the last minute. Thank you very much.

great teacher

Very informative and takes time to explain and break down the process of logic games. Is understanding and will not move on until you are confident in learning the material!

This man saved my life!

I started working with Keith mid December after a 4-week intensive test-prep program with one of the large LSAT prep companies that had not sufficiently prepared me for my target score. Keith and I worked for a total of SIX months, and he made it as pain-free as possible. Working with Keith allowed us to analyze my strengths and weaknesses, come up with specific study plans and strategies together, and learn the triple-review method. Keith’s triple-review method is what stood out for me above anyone else I interviewed with for LSAT prep. While it may seem tedious, it really helps you break down each section and understand your incorrect and correct thought processes. Keith is amazing at explaining things in numerous ways, so if you don’t understand his reasoning the first time he has no problem rephrasing it over and over again until you are on the same page. He is a super supportive and encouraging tutor and made me feel like I was the only student he was working with. Keith is super knowledgeable regarding the changes that LSAC makes to the test over time, and tweaks his methods to accommodate the new techniques students will have to understand, which is key to your LSAT success. I would recommend Keith to anyone who is starting from square one with LSAT prep, or someone who was not pleased with their large company LSAT prep experience. My score improved around 5 points, but more importantly, I understood the concepts way better than I did with the large test-prep companies. I can honestly say that I will miss my study sessions with Keith and can’t wait to return to him for Law School help and Bar prep.
