I hold a Master of Education in Special Education with a focus on Dyslexia from Midwestern State University and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am certified in Core Subjects (EC–6), Special Education (EC–12), and ESL (EC–12), and I am a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT) and Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT). These credentials reflect my strong academic foundation in education and language-based learning differences.
I have over eight years of experience working with diverse learners, primarily in public school settings. As a Dyslexia Therapist and now as a Dyslexia Zone Leader, I deliver structured literacy instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach and evidence-based programs like Take Flight. I work with students in one-on-one and small group settings, focusing on multisensory, systematic instruction tailored to individual learning needs. Since 2020, I have also tutored privately, supporting students from early elementary through middle school in reading, spelling, and executive functioning skills.
My approach emphasizes individualized learning strategies, positive reinforcement, and strong communication with families. I’ve trained teachers in dyslexia interventions and advocated for student support across educational settings. This combination of therapeutic, classroom, and tutoring experience equips me to effectively support a wide range of learners in building confidence and literacy skills.
