We are so lucky that we found Lisa! My 13 year old and 11 year old have been with Lisa for almost 2 years. She is great! My girls feel so comfortable with her and she gave both of them tremendous help and guidance in their ELA studies. Both of of my kids are in gifted schools. Before they started with Lisa, their ELA were somewhere in the middle of their class compared against their peers. 2 years later, both of their ELA teachers said they are their model students and are at top of their classes. My older one said she feels so confident in writing now and said she learned a lot from Lisa. My younger one loves her teaching style and looks forward to lessons every time. Lisa is also very flexible in the material she teaches. She not only has her own recommeded book lists but also helps my kids with the comprehension of the school material if they need. With her help, both my girls love reading and feel confident in English class! We love Lisa and feels that she is part of our family:) She is a great ELA tutor and a great friend! We are just so lucky!

An Exceptional English Teacher Who Goes Above and Beyond

Lisa is an exceptional teacher who is both patient and knowledgeable. She thoroughly reviews all the relevant materials before each class, often dedicating significant time to preparation without charging extra for her efforts. My son, a 9th grader, has been learning from her since last year, and he frequently tells me that Lisa is the best English teacher he has ever had. Despite attending a private school with many excellent English teachers with strong academic backgrounds, he has never encountered someone as patient and adept at providing clear guidance to improve his understanding and writing skills. I highly recommend Lisa to anyone seeking an outstanding English teacher.

Best writing tutor by far! She is so great with my 8-year-old

My son has been having writing tutoring sessions with Lisa for the past 10 months. She has set up an incredible writing program for him, such that they work on a wide variety of skills each week and he has remained engaged and enthusiastic throughout. Lisa provides helpful assignments, which my son willingly completes (amazing!). She has also created a beautiful teacher-student relationship with him, which supports his verbal communication skill building because he’s just so interested in talking with her during their sessions. He comes out of his shell and he tries hard. He has improved so much in his writing! Whereas before we could hardly get him to write a string of a few sentences, he will now independently draft a page-long essay. I could go on and on about how grateful we are to Lisa and how lucky we are to have found her.
