Hello, my name is Sarah. I graduated Cum Laude from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Accounting. I am currently an investment analyst and have passed Level I and Level II of the CFA. On Wyzant, I specialize in tutoring financial accounting, Excel, and Finance. Specifically, I have helped college and MBA students with time value of money, bonds, stock valuations, and many other finance concepts. For financial accounting, I have aided college and MBA students in understanding financial statement creation and analysis, debits and credits, bad debt, bank reconciliations, and many other accounting concepts. Beyond finance and accounting, I have been tutoring in math for 10 years. I have experience tutoring middle school math, high school Algebra, and AP Calculus AB and BC. In college, I have experience tutoring applied statistics and Calculus I, II, and III.

I love helping students to feel more confident in their abilities and help them succeed in their classes and future careers. I even tutored a 55-year-old woman in preparing to get her teaching certificate to teach high school math as a second career. While I do not have a Ph.D. in mathematics, I think that will work in your favor. As a recent graduate myself, I am very familiar with the frustration of the education system.
