I’m a great match for young students just learning about the great big world of the English language, and I’m also a good fit for older students who are looking to expand their skillset.

It is my goal to make my lessons fun and encouraging, never something to be dreaded. I can assist in homework help, as well as teach original, engaging lessons!

I am an experienced tutor who has worked with a wide variety of students, from younger learners to adults looking for additional English support. Parents can be as involved as they wish to be! I will work with you to create a custom plan for your student. I typically assign students some short assignments to work on throughout the week (this is optional) and encourage all of my students to spend 20 minutes a day reading.

I was a member of Sigma Tau Delta (an English honors society) in college. I received the Peggy Null research award as a junior for my work on Louisa May Alcott.

I can't wait to connect with you and figure out a game-plan for how to get you where you need to go! Contact me to learn more or schedule a session!

Great English grammar tutor

Hope is such a joy for my daughter to work with. My 12 year old always looks forward to the sessions which is key. My daughter’s grades have gone from C, to B and A during her 6th grade year while working with her. My daughter’s teachers are very encouraged by the change in her capabilities and attitude in a relatively short time. I believe Hope has given her more confidence and new perspectives on learning. I highly recommend Hope.

Great educator

My daughter enjoyed her lesson and that’s a great start. Hope is very easy to work with and we appreciate it. We’re looking forward to the next session. I don’t have much more to add right now but we really appreciate it.

Kind and knowledgeable tutor!

Session with Hope was great. She helped refine my project description. She walked me through each sentence one by one patiently and improved overall writing, which I'm very happy with. Thank you!

Lucky to meet Hope! Passionate and knowledgeable

Hope is warm like the sunshine in California! She is so passionate and really cares the kid. She is the tutor that we feel lucky enough to meet! Her writing class starts from basic grammar to the practice on different types of sentence. And it is very interactive. We are confident more will come. She is very reponsive and flexible to adapt the agenda to parent's request too. My 9th-grade daughter loves her very much! We would definitely continue with her, and will recommend to friends! Thank you, Hope!
