I spent 5 yrs. tutoring early reading skills to Preschool - 4th grade in Plano, Tx. I use techniques that I developed to teach my twin daughters to read and thru word of mouth I had a classroom of students including a teachers daughter and son from our church. I make learning to read fun and students are eager for their next session. The key is to teach techniques that give young students a spring board they can build on so they don't find the experience overwhelming. These early techniques give a child the confidence they need to move forward in their learning experience.

I sometimes incorporate art into reading as I am also a contemporary abstract artist that works in acryIic.
My Art studies began in Scottsdale, Az. and continued in Tx. My methodology and expertise in connecting
the dots for children has made tutoring rewarding. "The Gift of Reading is Invaluable "

I also teach fun art to students age 5 - adults for the last 6 years as well as therapeutic art.

Art was a passion from a young age and began my artistic path at a studio in Scottsdale, Arizona, then on
to receive my degree in design, and minored in Art at Bauder on the UT Campus in Tx. In graduate school I focused on Art and then on to The Artists School in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Painting can be relaxing, fun and a way to decompress as well.
As a tutor I teach strokes and techniques to help the student to develop their own style
of expression and innate talent.
