I have been a private tutor for nearly 13 years, working primarily with students in early childhood and elementary grade levels (ages 4–11). I am certified to teach Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade and hold certification in Special Education (Pre-K–12). In addition, I am a Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) and have completed extensive training in Multisensory Math instructional approaches grounded in evidence-based practices supported by neuroscience.
Throughout my career, I have served in multiple instructional roles, including Kindergarten Teacher, First Grade Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Dyslexia Specialist, Academic Intervention Specialist, and Private Homeschool Educator. As an Academic Intervention Specialist, I provided targeted, data-driven intervention to students performing below grade level, designed individualized intervention plans, monitored progress through formal and informal assessments, and collaborated with classroom teachers and families to accelerate academic growth in literacy and mathematics.
My experience spans classroom instruction, one-on-one intervention, small-group support, homeschool instruction, and private tutoring. I have also developed and written professional curricula for school districts and educational enterprises, specifically designed for students ages 4–11, with a focus on structured literacy and multisensory math instruction.
This combination of certifications, specialized training, and diverse instructional experience equips me to effectively tutor students across a range of learning profiles, including those with dyslexia and other learning differences, while delivering instruction that is research-based, structured, and individualized.
