I was certified in Early Childhood to 12th grade in Special Education. I believe that all children and students can learn, but that a variety of learning methods needs to be utilized to help each one attain their highest potential, because not every child learns in the same way. I was certified in Early Childhood to 12th grade in Special Education. I believe that all children and students can learn, but that a variety of learning methods needs to be utilized to help each one attain their highest potential, because not every child learns in the same way. I have worked with 5th and 6th grade students who had not passed the TAKS test on their 2nd try in Reading, Math and Science. I have worked with special needs students with physical disabilities, emotional disorders including depression and, ADHD, autism, and Chemical Dependency. I believe individualizing instruction to meet the child's needs based on an assessment of their strengths and weaknesses, as well as their interests. My special education training has opened up a wide array of resources and I often think out of the box to come up with ways to get a lesson across.

I have over 25 years experience in marketing and management, over seven year teaching and 10 year tutoring experience. I have raised two bright young women who have earned master's degrees and are doing well in their professions. I am looking for the opportunity to make a difference in a child's future.

Great Tutor for Elementary
