I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and an MBA in Finance. During both my academic studies and my professional experience in business and finance, I have used Microsoft Excel extensively for budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Working with numbers in structured ways every day taught me how to break down complex material into clear, logical steps. When a student feels stuck, I focus on slowing things down and walking through the “why” behind each step so they can build real understanding instead of just memorizing procedures.
I began tutoring at 18, working one-on-one for six months with a sixth grade student in math and general academic subjects. In addition to helping her with homework, I worked closely with her on organization and study habits. We created systems together, such as writing down homework in her planner daily, recording upcoming test dates in advance, and breaking larger assignments into smaller tasks. Over time, I saw how much structure and consistency improved both her performance and confidence. In college, I volunteered for approximately a year and a half in roles that included tutoring and academic support in small group and individual settings. Those experiences reinforced my belief that academic success is just as much about organization and habits as it is about content knowledge.
I primarily tutor elementary, middle, and high school students in math, homework support, reading, and Microsoft Excel. Most sessions focus on reviewing current assignments, clarifying difficult concepts, and practicing together until the material feels manageable. I aim to create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to develop stronger long-term skills in problem solving, organization, and independent learning.
