Hi — I’m Shahin, and I look forward to meeting you.

I have worked with high school students for much of my adult life and truly enjoy helping learners reach their academic goals. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Texas teaching certification. Over the past four years, I have taught chemistry and biology in Dallas, and I have also provided private tutoring in science and English as a second language.

How I work

My priority is creating a supportive, confidence-building environment where students can learn efficiently. I tailor every session to the student’s needs and the curriculum they are following, and I focus on clear explanations, guided practice, and practical problem-solving. I can help with exam preparation (including practice questions and test strategies), clarifying difficult scientific concepts, working through calculations, and strengthening lab-report and data-analysis skills.

Subjects & level

Biology and chemistry up to pre-university / introductory college level (including lab experiments: purposes, procedures, and applications).

Physics, environmental science, human anatomy, and other related subjects up to high school level.

Session structure & availability

We’ll start with a short meeting to identify your goals, review the curriculum, and plan our lessons. If you decide to proceed, we’ll schedule the first tutoring session and set clear, measurable goals. I aim to be as flexible as possible with scheduling; please provide at least two hours’ notice for cancellations.
