Hi there! I’m a proud, fourth-generation Texas public school teacher, taking a break from the classroom after six years of service teaching honors and AP computer science.
I studied computer science all four years of high school and captained my UIL Computer Science team, which took gold at the 2014 2A State Championships. I studied CS/software engineering and earned a BSEd at Baylor University, and I hold a Texas Educator Certificate in grades 8-12 Computer Science.

My specialty areas are in Java (object-oriented) programming, the UIL CS contest, and exam prep for AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles. (My CS Principles students’ passing rate was 34% above the statewide rate last year.)
I love individualized teaching and pride myself on my ability to explicate abstract concepts to diverse learners. I’m patient, kind, and neurodiversity-affirming. I hope you’ll reach out!
