Hi! I’m Mathews. I graduated magna cum laude with a BBA in Accounting from Georgia State University (GSU). I’m also a licensed CPA, and I began my career in Big 4 public accounting. After gaining valuable experience there, I moved into a Finance Manager role at a leading FinTech company. Today, I’m working as an investment banker based in Atlanta. Over the years, I’ve tutored and mentored students from prestigious institutions like Yale, Dartmouth, Duke, UVA, Bowdoin, Colby, Bates, UConn, American University, and Ohio State, focusing on accounting and finance. My students range from high school learners to college seniors and aspiring professionals, and I bring a real-world perspective to every session.
During my time at GSU, I worked as a teaching assistant for a Managerial Accounting class, supporting over 200 undergraduate business students. That experience sparked my passion for helping others learn and grow. Whether I was breaking down tough homework problems, diving deeper into course material, or offering advice on career choices, I found it deeply fulfilling to help students succeed.
