I've always been driven by a passion for learning and teaching. After graduating as a student-athlete with a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders, I wasted no time diving into my career. By Fall, I was already in the classroom, teaching freshman English and on the field as a Softball coach, supporting students in pursuit of their goals, both on and off the field. I transitioned to the field of Speech-Language Pathology and obtained certification as a Licensed SLP Assistant, which further equipped me with the skills to help students build their strengths in communication, whether it's refining articulation or improving language comprehension. Over the course of my career, I've had the privilege of working with students from all walks of life, each with their challenges and strengths.
My approach to tutoring is about meeting students where they are and guiding them to their goals. I use my diverse skills and perspectives to tailor my teaching to each student's unique needs. I focus on creating a productive and engaging environment where students feel supported and motivated to learn. I deeply value transfer across sessions as the end goal is always in favor of independence. Every student has the potential to thrive when provided the right tools, encouragement, and approach. I aim to not only help students build strong academic and communication skills but also to empower them with the confidence and independence they'll carry into every part of their lives.
