Over six years of one-on-one tutoring, most students I work with raise course grades by about 1 to 1.5 letters. For SAT and ACT, students who follow the plan and complete assigned practice typically see meaningful gains in the 100 to 200 point range, depending on starting point and timeline. I studied Biology with a minor in Economics at the University of Texas at Austin. I began tutoring in 2016, established myself as a professional tutor in 2019, and this is now my full-time work. I support middle and high school Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, and SAT/ACT in Dallas and online.

New students start with a short review of recent quizzes, tests, and homework, plus a few targeted problems to see what is solid and what needs attention. We set two or three weekly goals, build a focused practice set, and keep a simple error log to track patterns. Sessions emphasize step-by-step reasoning, efficient problem solving, and quick checks for accuracy. When speed matters, we add timed sets and pacing drills.

Families who want visibility receive concise updates. I keep a small roster so each student gets careful preparation, custom materials, and thoughtful follow-up.

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I’ve been tutoring ACT Math for over five years, helping students boost their math section scores by as much as 8–10 points. My approach focuses on identifying weak areas with a diagnostic, reviewing key formulas and concepts, and teaching pacing strategies that actually work under timed pressure. I scored a 1520 on the SAT and use that same test-taking mindset to coach ACT students—breaking problems down into clear steps and eliminating wrong answer traps.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I’ve been tutoring Algebra 1 since 2016, working with middle and high school students who are either struggling with the transition into algebra or aiming to master it for honors-level performance. I completed up through Calculus II in college, so I know how critical Algebra 1 is as a foundation for all future math. My focus is on helping students understand the structure behind equations, graphs, and word problems—so they can approach problems with confidence, not guesswork. I’ve helped students raise their grades by 1–2 letter grades and build lasting skills they carry into higher-level math.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I’ve been tutoring Pre-Algebra for over five years, helping middle school and early high school students build a strong foundation before moving into higher-level math. I studied up through Calculus II in college as part of my degree at UT Austin, so I understand how important these early skills are for long-term success. I focus on making sure students really understand the why behind each concept, not just memorizing steps.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I’ve been tutoring Pre-Calculus for over five years, working with high school and early college students in both one-on-one and remote settings. I completed coursework through Calculus II at the University of Texas at Austin, and my background in biology and economics gave me a strong foundation in applied math.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I start each SAT student with a diagnostic to identify specific weaknesses and build a custom plan around those areas. I focus on strategy, pacing, and the key formulas students need to know—cutting out what’s not essential and doubling down on what actually shows up. My approach is straightforward, targeted, and adapted to each student's goals and current score range. I’ve helped students boost their scores by over 300 points.
